Staff

At Warren Park we have great faith in the team of staff we have providing a wide range of services, from delivering personal and nursing care and support, providing tasty home cooked meals to maintaining a clean pleasant environment. This team is in the region of 60 staff of which, two thirds are directly involved in delivering care to our residents.

We are committed to ensuring that we employ the right staff who share our values and beliefs. Prior to commencing employment with Warren Park, all staff go through a thorough series of recruitment checks including tracking a ten year work history, obtaining two written references (one of which should be from the most recent employer), the completion of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and verification of NMC PIN card (for qualified staff).

Once offered employment all staff then undertake a recognised induction programme in ‘The Care Certificate’ which provides underpinning and practical knowledge in important areas such as protection of vulnerable adults, moving and handling, health and safety, dignity and infection control to name a few. In addition to the induction training, all staff receive an orientation shift and practical moving & handling training with updates provided every year in addition to other mandatory training, including health & safety and fire awareness. Staff are encouraged to continue their personal and professional development being offered a wide variety of additional training courses and opportunities for learning during their employment.

Following completion of the induction programme any new staff without a Diploma in Care (NVQ) are registered and supported to achieve this throughout their employment.

We are proud to have a high staff retention rate with 65% of our staff having been with us for the past five years or more.
