As it’s Nutrition & Hydration Awareness week this week we are holding a week long promotion of hydration.

We are proposing to do this in a number of ways and have adopted a theme for the week with smoothies and mocktails making sessions being held.

We start on Monday with ‘Mocktail Monday’ holding a mocktail making session from 13:30 in the conservatory.

On Friday, we are proposing to increase awareness by holding a mocktail making session along with our primary visitors from Ursuline who will be joining us from 13:30 to celebrate ‘Fruity Friday’ making some special drinks.

Outside of the mocktail making classes, the kitchen will be supporting the hydration awareness by offering a different smoothie every day. This will be offered on the drinks trolley but please speak to any member of staff to request one at any point.

At Warren Park we believe that maintaining good nutrition and hydration is fundamental to maintaining the health and well being of our Residents and in recognition of this, we have dedicated the month of March to a month long promotion of nutrition and hydration.

This will include the social activities being themed during the month, as well as particular events focusing on nutrition and hydration. One such event, is a free workshop we are hosting to discuss nutrition and hydration which residents, family and friends are welcome to come along to.

The workshop will be from 13:30 on Thursday 14th March in the conservatory.

March 26th is Epilepsy Awareness Day

For Purple Day this year, Epilepsy Action is focusing on the life-changing work of the Epilepsy Action Helpline.

Now we want to open the Helpline for longer, so even more people can get that vital help.

Your support on Purple Day will mean we can be there on evenings and weekends. It means we can be there for more people with nowhere else to turn. Just like we’ve been there for Rob.

Your support means more people will be able to take control of their epilepsy, however it affects their life.
